A fantastic workshop for children aged 5-12 to have fun with music. We will make instruments to take away, play with the rhythms of life and create our own soundscape inspired by music from across the world. 10am-12noon, St Joseph’s Hall, Rosetta Road, Peebles. £12. **Pre-booking required.

7 June: “The Healing Voice Workshop”
This one day workshop is a great opportunity to explore your voice for expression and healing. Not a singing workshop but will support your voice if that is what you wish to do. We will share techniques to develop confidence, vocal ability, knowledge to understand the power of your voice and vocal healing skills. 11am-4.00pm, £30/£25. 15 March, 1.00-4.00pm, Native Colombian Drumming and Song Workshop. The Caribbean coast of Colombia has a rich musical culture created from a mix of Indigenous Indian, African and European roots. Colombian percussionist Anthar Kharana has been working with the ‘tambores’, or drums, from this area for many years. In this workshop, Anthar introduces the participants to the traditional drums and percussion from the Caribbean Coast of Colombia. These sessions are for all abilities from beginners to advanced. Please bring your own drum or djembe if you have one. Some will be available to borrow for the workshop (please advise if required on booking). We will also offer you the opportunity to buy genuine, Ivory Coast, hand carved djembes from £39 upwards on the day. St Joseph’s Hall, Rosetta Road, Peebles.
